Title: Fully nonlinear second-order PDEs and their numerical solutions

Abstract: In this talk, I shall first give a brief overview of the basic concepts and main advances in fully nonlinear second-order (and first-order) PDEs including the Monge-Ampere and Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations. I shall then highlight the state-of-the-art of numerical methods for solving those PDEs.  Applications and numerical experiments will also be presented if time permits.
