Pea Ridge Basket Workshop

This basket gets it’s name from the 1862 Battle of Pea Ridge, AR. With a lovely shape and contrast from natural and
smoked reed it becomes a great basket to use or would also make a great basket for a gift. The swing handle makes it useful to carry things in and allows for it to be stored on a shelf when not in use. Workshop will be at Tazewell Senior Citizens Center on Friday, June 25th, beginning at 10:00am and we will work until the basket is complete. This would be a perfect basket for a beginner or experienced basket weaver. Price for the workshop is $25.00. Space is limited to 12 participants to allow for social distancing so pre-registration is required. You must register by Monday, June 14.  Please contact the Extension office with any questions you may have or to complete registration.

Participants will need to bring the usual items to make this basket: Heavy duty scissors, pencil, tape measure, old towel, dish pan, small flat screw driver, awl (optional), and 8 or 10 medium binder clips. You will also need to bring a drink, a lunch, and/or snacks.
