Physician Leadership Symposium: Entrepreneurship in Healthcare

The Haslam College of Business' Physician Executive MBA program is proud to present the next installment of our 2022 Physician Leadership Symposium.

Entrepreneurship in Healthcare: Building a Physicians Services Company from the Ground Up
with Boykin Robinson, MD, MBA
CEO, Core Clinical Partners

Why Attend?

The seminar will draw from the experiences of a boot-strapped PEMBA-inspired outsourced physician services company that has grown revenue from $3m to over $80m in less than four years. Topics of discussion will include funding, business development strategies, and the decisions on when to outsource vs building infrastructure to handle operations in-house. The evolution of the company from the “solo-preneur” stage, through startup and into the small company stage will be discussed with lessons learned along the way.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the options for early stage company funding
  • Appreciation of the importance of balancing cost with ability to scale
  • Understanding of the pros and cons of outsourcing vs insourcing facets of company operations
