In this virtual session, you will discuss

  • the concept of psychological safety and its importance to interpersonal communication.
  • details of your own psychological safety needs as an international student, and
  • strategies to help you hold respectful dialogue about psychological safety in learning and workplace spaces.
  • Also - how Ombuds services can help!

 

This interactive virtual workshop includes self-reflection, breakout discussion, and action planning activities. Topics include: UT campus & workplace culture; feeling like you belong; interpersonal risk-taking; compassionate dialogue; and the effects of increased psychological safety on student and staff effectiveness and innovation.

NOTE: The last 30 minutes is optional- for international-student specific Q&A, problem-solving, networking and skills practice.
