Samantha Seeley is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Richmond, where she specializes in eighteeth-century North America and the early United States. She is the author of Race, Removal, and the Right to Remain: Migration and the Making of the United States, and is co-editor of "The Question of Recovery: Slavery, Freedom, and the Archive," a special issue of Social Text (December 2015). Lorri Glover, Professor of History at Saint Louis University, will lead this conversation.
