About this Event
Exploratory Factor Analysis is a method used to reduce a large number observed variables into a smaller number factors. These factors often represent unobservable or latent measures that are typically viewed as broad concepts that may measure an observed phenomenon such as anxiety, satisfaction, depression, etc. For social scientists, these latent factors are often of more interest than the individual variables. This workshop will cover how to run a EFA, interpret the factor loadings, compare the different rotation methods and provide guidelines on determining the best factor structure. This special topic workshop is an advanced topic only offered once.
