Revolutionary Power: An Activist's Guide to the Energy Transition

As a Howard Baker Center's Distinguished Energy and Environment Lecture Series, Dr. Shalan Baker will discuss her book, Revolutionary Power: An Activist's Guide to the Energy Transition, which calls for a justice-centered transition away from fossil fuels and offers practical tools to achieve it. Baker argues that transforming our energy system is the next civil rights domain. Those marginalized by our current system, low-income communities, and communities of color, must be the architects to transform the energy sector’s unequal power dynamics.
