The following objectives will addressed:

1. Describe various types of stigma.

2. Understand the relationship between stigmatizing language and wellness outcomes for people who use drugs (PWUD) and people with a substance use disorder (SUD).

3. Discuss evidence-based approaches to address stigmatizing beliefs in rural communities, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD).

4. Reflect on ways in which we all contribute to and combat stigma within our communities and share strategies for being champions of stigma reduction.
