The Garden Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Lane Agri-Park located at 315 John R. Rice Blvd inMurfreesboro. The purpose of this eventis to showcase the ornamental and vegetable demonstration gardens and turfgrass demonstration area maintained on-site. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the garden and demonstration areas and attend two educational sessions taught by Extension agents. The gardens and demonstration areas will be open to tour and Q&A with Extension Agents and Master Gardeners from10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Twoeducational sessions willbeofferedbeginning at 11:15 a.m. The first session offered from 11:15 – 11:45 will be “Make Every Application Count – Calibrating Spreaders and Sprayers for Accurate Fertilizer and Pesticide Applications”. Up next, from 12:00 – 12:30, will be “If You’re Going toPlant It,Plant ItRight – Proper Tree andShrubPlanting”. This event is free and registration isn’t required. Just show up that day and stop by the outdoor pavilion adjacent to the butterfly and vegetable garden demonstration area to check-in and pick up a schedule and map of the different garden and demonstration areas.
