Sistah Circle: For Colored Girls who Considered Quitting when Engineering wasn’t Enuf

Freshmen and Sophomore female engineering students are invited to attend “Sistah Circle: For Colored Girls who Considered Quitting when Engineering wasn’t Enuf”—the first event in a new Women in Engineering program series focused on the experiences of women of color in engineering. The title is inspired by Tyler Perry’s movie For Colored Girls.

All female engineering students are encouraged to attend and bring friends.

The event will focus on empowering and reconnecting female students to engineering and their chosen major, working through feeling overwhelmed with academics, and cultivating a strong support network among engineering students, faculty, and staff.

Dinner will be provided by Jason’s Deli, starting at 5:30 pm.

Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 6:00pm to 7:00pm
