Research related to broadband technology is rapidly increasing at the University of Tennessee, with significant impact on the state’s ecosystem. To connect faculty from a wide variety of disciplines involved in broadband research, the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development has scheduled Sparks: Broadband at the Institute of Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, 2641 Osprey Vista Way, UT Research Park at Cherokee Farm.
Launched in 2017, SPARKS (Seeking Partnerships to Advance Research, Knowledge, and Science) events bring UT faculty from multiple disciplines together around a common theme to learn and network.
Attendees will leave with a better sense of UT-wide expertise and capacity in research related to broadband, along with contact information for participants and additional resources.
In addition to faculty lightning talks and two speed networking events, keynote speakers will include Randy Boyd, President of the UT System, and Dev Palmer, Deputy Director of the Microsystems Technology Office with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
Our goal is to connect potential collaborators, share ongoing research initiatives, and build a community of interest with whom ORIED can communicate emerging research opportunities.
If you have any questions, please email Sharon Pound at spound@utk.edu. Register by February 23.
