Located in the nation’s first federally designated scenic riverways, these rivers offer unique scenic beauty and a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of campus. We’ll leave campus Saturday morning, March 15th, and return Friday, March 21st.
We’ll canoe around 10 miles per day among cliffs, caves, and hidden springs, ending each day by camping under the stars at backcountry sites or on gravel bars along the river. This trip is beginner friendly and no paddling experience is necessary, but participants must know how to swim before the trip. The price includes transportation, meals, and all the necessary equipment.
An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 11th at 5 pm in the Outdoor Center with more details regarding the trip for anyone interested in learning more. A pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, March 5th at 6 p will be required for registered participants.
