Strategic Planning for Your Life: Networking and Mentoring—Finding Your Match
One of the keys to professional development is networking, but what does it mean to engage in networking, and how does one go about it? Another key is finding a mentor or establishing a network of mentors to guide, advise, or just cheer you on. This session will discuss how to establish and be a part of a supportive network.
About the Strategic Planning for Your Life Program
Achieving your life goals requires a good plan. Having a good plan both during and after your graduate career can help you get closer to having the professional life that fits your needs and values. The Strategic Planning for Your Life program offers sessions designed to assist you in the creation and nurturing of your plan.
All five sessions together are designed around the development of your whole plan, and you are encouraged to register for all five. Those who do will receive a certificate that shows that you have completed your plan, and you’ll have a plan that you can take with you on your life journey. However, you may feel that you have a good plan, but there are parts of your plan that you’d like to tighten up. Each session is open for you to attend as an individual workshop, so we hope you’ll join us for those you feel would be most helpful to you.
Registration is not necessary, but if you’d like to get updates on the program and get access to materials online, we encourage you to join the mailing list by going to: tiny.utk.edu/strategic-signup.
