Strategic Planning for Your Life: Mindfulness—Discovering Your Professional Self

The key to reaching your desired goals and ideal path is identifying the motivating factors and underlining values, beliefs, and attitudes that influence who are and how you will authentically inhabit the future roles in your life and career.  In this workshop, participants will engage in several interactive reflection activities designed to help them discover who they are, what is important to them, and what drives them.  With this information, participants will then use an Individual Development Planning tool to begin to mindfully develop an explicit and intentional course for reaching their academic and professional goals.

About the Strategic Planning for Your Life Program

Achieving your life goals requires a good plan. Having a good plan both during and after your graduate career can help you get closer to having the professional life that fits your needs and values. The Strategic Planning for Your Life program offers sessions designed to assist you in the creation and nurturing of your plan.

All five sessions together are designed around the development of your whole plan, and you are encouraged to register for all five. Those who do will receive a certificate that shows that you have completed your plan, and you’ll have a plan that you can take with you on your life journey. However, you may feel that you have a good plan, but there are parts of your plan that you’d like to tighten up. Each session is open for you to attend as an individual workshop, so we hope you’ll join us for those you feel would be most helpful to you.

Registration is not necessary, but if you’d like to get updates on the program and get access to materials online, we encourage you to join the mailing list by going to:
