Our current temporary exhibition, X-ray Vision: Fish Inside Out, is more than just a look beneath the surface—it’s a fascinating journey into the anatomy, evolution, and unique features of fish, all revealed through stunning X-ray images.

To bring this experience to life in a hands-on way, we’re offering a one-of-a-kind workshop that blends art and science. You’ll learn from an ichthyologist (that’s a fish expert!) who will share fun facts about why fish look the way they do. Then, inspired by what you've learned, you'll create your own artwork using sumi-e—a traditional Japanese painting style that uses only black ink to capture the essence of a subject.

No art or science background needed—just curiosity and creativity! With guidance from amazing sumi-e artists, you’ll walk away with new knowledge and your own fish-inspired masterpiece.
