TCE faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend this internal Zoom listening session that will be hosted by Dean Terpenny.

The longing to be valued, to matter, to live freely and without fear, and to make a difference in the world—these are words that are at the heart of being a Volunteer and are the promises that brought us here to engineering and to UT. We must come together now and always as a community.

As engineers, we use our skills and ingenuity to solve problems. Without diversity of people and diversity of thought, we will never solve the grand challenges facing society.

During this listening session, we will come together to learn, discuss, and share ideas. We will begin with a moment of silence to reflect on the tragedy of recent national events followed by a listening session.

We will be honest, constructive, and civil. We will commit to positive change within our college through actionable ideas that emerge from this and future discussions that we can take to help declare our position locally and nationally on this important issue.
