Tennessee Football: From Bob Neyland to Jeremy Pruitt

Join "Vol Historian" Tom Mattingly for this new non-credit course covering the history of the University of Tennessee football program from the first game in November 1891 through the end of the 2017 season and all points in between.

You'll meet the great coaches and players and relive the games that have kept the memory banks working at full capacity. You'll closely follow the growth of a magnificent stadium in the heart of the Knoxville campus and the development of an unbelievably loyal fan base.

When we discuss Tennessee football, the key word is tradition. You can't manufacture it and nobody really knows how to define it, but you'll recognize it when you experience it.

This is the amazing story of young men in orange and white who have accomplished so many great things on gridirons across the South and the nation.

Mattingly is author of five books on the University of Tennessee and its athletic program.
