The Rutledge Lecture in Classics: "A World in Pieces," by Andrew M. Riggsby

In his lecture, University of Texas at Austin Professor Andrew M. Riggsby will argue that these two questions arise for the same reason and the ultimate answer reveals someting important about Roman information technology (IT). Today, we are used to IT making the world smaller. In Ancient Rome, it divided people.
