Tim Mousseau: Mo-Men-Tum

The UT community is invited to a conversation led by official Movember Foundation SpokesMo Tim Mousseau on men’s health, masculinity, and how men can support one another. Mousseau uses both data and personal experiences to explore what defines manhood and how expectations can sometimes prevent men from addressing health concerns, specifically mental health.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, in the United States, men are less likely to have received mental health treatment in the last year and are more likely to die by suicide than women. Men may also have a hard time establishing strong social connections and experience loneliness later in life.

Mousseau will share how we can challenge these trends and how men can support each other in leading healthier, happier lives.

Refreshments will be served. For accommodations, please contact bamatuss@utk.edu.
