"To Dust" movie premiere with Body Farm Director Dr. Dawnie Steadman

To Dust, Starring Matthew Broderick and Géza Röhrig. Shmuel, a Hasidic cantor, distraught by his wife’s untimely death, struggles to find religious solace while secretly obsessing over how her body will decay. As a clandestine partnership develops with Albert, a community college biology professor, the two embark on an increasingly literal undertaking.

Dr. Steadman served as an advisor on the film screenplay and is thrilled to help new filmmaker Shawn Snyder. The Body Farm plays a pivotal role in the movie and Dr. Steadman, Director of the Forensic Anthropology Center, will answer questions about the Body Farm after the movie on March 22 and 23. She is joined by Dr. Marilyn Kallet, Professor Emeriti and Knoxville Poet Laureate, who will answer questions related to the religious and spiritual aspects of the film.
