About this Event
The Tennessee Chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta, the honor society of agriculture, is proud to support the 2025 Ryan McDonald and Colt Jones Memorial Toy Drive in association with the McNabb Center. We have set up a Donation Portal where the funds will be used to purchase new toys for this cause. We also will have large “UT Orange” bins to drop off new/unopened toys for any age. These will be located in the lobbies of ANR, BAS, CVM, Morgan Hall, and at the East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center (all bins will be in main lobby areas).
The toy drive and drop-off bins will be available from November 10 to December 2, 2025.
This event is held to honor Ryan and Colt, two teenagers who were the victims of teasing and bullying in school. Ryan’s life was taken by school violence when he was shot at Central High School in August 2008, and Colt took his own life in October 2012 when the bullying became too much for him to endure. Both young men were 15 years old when they died. Please help us keep their spirit and memories alive.
The McNabb Center is the region’s leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, social and victim services. By focusing on an individual’s “Well Mind, Well Being,” they provide a quality and compassionate approach to care from infancy through adulthood. Since 1948, the McNabb Center has proudly served individuals with the most needs and fewest resources. Today, the McNabb Center delivers support to more than 45,000 people throughout East Tennessee each year. For more information, visit www.mcnabbcenter.org or call 1-800-255-9711.
