Cassio Ferrigno, assistant professor of small animal orthopedic surgery at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine, will help lead the two-day Intrauma Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) Workshop. The interactive course includes lectures and laboratories to teach participants the theory and method of TPLO. Participants will perform TPLOs on plastic bones using state-of-the-art equipment and implants. Participants will use locking plate technology to simplify, increase precision, and reduce complications of the procedure. Postoperative management will also be discussed.
The course is appropriate for veterinary specialists, residents, interns, and general practitioners with an interest in advancing their decision-making skills and treatment of patients having cranial cruciate ligament rupture. Registration is limited and closes on September 15, 2024.
