TPTE Lit Chats

Are you teaching literacy at home? 📚 Do you have questions but are unsure of who to go to for answers? 💭 We've got great news! Literacy experts from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville are hosting a brand new online series designed just for you called Lit 🔥Chat.

Every week in this series, a professor from Theory and Practice in Teacher Education (TPTE) will be going live on Zoom to answer your questions and share ideas on engaging your kids in literacy!

We will be discussing topics including K-1 literacy, motivating young readers, K-12 reading & writing connections, and strategies for middle & high school readers; building your child's vocabulary; spelling, and more!

We want to know what questions you have about teaching literacy at home? Let us know by filling out our quick survey:

All Lit Chats are free and open to the public.
