UTK Community Cooking Classes and Wine Education

Campo Viejo Winery….Award Winning Wines from Rioja, Spain. Thursday February 28, 6:00-8:30 p.m.

Experience the Best of Rioja Wines with Mariya Kovacheva who will be joining us again for another food and wine adventure. Mariya, now In-Market Wine Ambassador for Pernod-Ricard USA, will discuss well-made, terroir-driven wines from the Rioja region of Spain. Mariya especially delights in tasting wines and helping to develop menu-pairing profiles to complement diverse cuisines. 

Today Mariya is a candidate for the prestigious Master Sommelier title from the Court of Master Sommeliers and she holds the diploma from the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust.  Additionally in 2012, she became the first and only woman to have won the national titles of “TOP I SOMM” from the Guild of Sommeliers.
