The Commencement and Hooding Ceremony for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine’s Class of 2023 will be held Saturday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00AM.  The ceremony will take place in the James R. Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Memorial Building located at located at 1408 Middle Drive, just east of parking lot 9 and north of Neyland Stadium. 

Dr. Andrew Cushing, Clinical Associate Professor of Zoo Animal Medicine at the College, is the commencement speaker. Hayley Dixon and Kaysha Rodriguez Avila will deliver the Class of 2023 remarks. Dr. Claudia Kirk will serve as the faculty standard bearer and Dr. Rachel Fladung and Dr. Stephanie Steuri are the marshals. The Class of 2023 chose Dr. Talisha Moore and Dr. Dan Ward to present their hoods.

Seventy-eight students will graduate with the Class of 2023. Following the administration of the veterinarian’s oath, Deja Lashell Floyd will be commissioned and promoted in the United States Army.
