About this Event
In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, join the Pride Center and our guest instructor, Amberly Kelley-Dotson, for a virtual queer yoga class open to all. How can yoga be queer, you ask? Queer yoga is specifically designed for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to practice in an affirming environment. Class is appropriate for everyone, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. We will focus on using our breath to connect with ourselves and will explore different movements, breath work, and meditation throughout our practice.

Instructor bio: Amberly, of Amberly Yoga & Wellness, has been teaching yoga since 2016 and has continued her study and education by attending multiple therapeutic and trauma-informed trainings. She is currently pursuing her 500-hour training through the American Viniyoga Institute, with hopes of becoming a certified yoga therapist. Her approach to yoga is breath-centric and values function over form, encouraging her students to honor their individual needs. Her teaching is heavily influenced by Viniyoga, the teachings of Gary Kraftsow, T.K.V Desikachar, and the Yoga Sutras. Amberly identifies as a queer woman and is passionate about inclusivity and accessibility. She is always learning and growing. She loves to spend her free time in her kitchen experimenting with new dishes, curled up with her sweet kitties reading a book, and enjoying nature with her wife
