GSS and the Center for Student Engagement are excited to host a Yoga Event as a time to relax and recharge during GPSAW week! Our primary instructor is Kate Higgins, a UTK student who is also currently a part of a 200 Hour Yoga Training Course on track to become a yoga instructor. This hour-long session will provide time to not only experience a wide breadth of yoga styles but also a time to briefly socialize before/after the 45 minute workout. The design of the instruction will also consider multiple levels of skill, so don't let having never put on yoga pants deter you from missing this event! Should we get a lot of interest in this event, we may have the opportunity to have multiple breakout rooms with yoga instructors leading each room.
A few materials highly recommended for the event are a yoga mat (can be substituted with a towel), workout block (substituted w/ a water bottle), and comfortable clothes/athletic wear.
