The presentations on the three Beethoven's sonatas were fun and informative. David Brunell performed the sonatas with such beauty and warm colorful tone quality. I especially enjoyed his profound rendition of op. 110 which was highly expressive, sensitive, and effortless.
What a fantastic event for families. The students were stellar and this gave our children an access to music and instruments that could not have happened otherwise. The Instrument Petting Zoo was a creative achievement for the Music School; it also exemplifies how UT generates the kind of community outreach that many other universities talk about, but seldom perform. What a great event!
It was a wonderful experience for my kids! Being able to see the insturments in person- and hear the sounds that they made-and being able to touch them. The students were so good with the children. I hope this is going to be a yearly experience and I hope there are more events geared towards children. Thank you, SOM, for a wonderful afternoon!
